In publisher’s black cloth, spine lettered in red, front panel lettered and blocked in red with publisher’s Crime Club logo, a silhouette of man and gun, which is repeated in white to the red coated endpapers, all edges trimmed. Dust jacket is trimmed at all edges and is without price, as published. We have seen this on all other copies perused, and it may be in line with Doubleday, Doran’s new policy to change all of their prices, as explained on the rear panel of the dust jacket.
