A murder mystery set in the Scottish highlands,   Charles Augustus Carlow Muir (1892-1989) was a Canadian Scottish journalist, novelist, and historian, best known his mystery novels. In addition to writing under the name Augustus Muir he used the pseudonym Austin Moore.

Octavo (book size 19.813.3cm), pp. 349 [3]. In publisher’s red cloth, lettered in black to spine and front panel, all edges trimmed, short closed tear to the upper edge of the last eight sheets. Dust jacket priced ‘$2.00’ to lower corner of front flap, and with colour restoration to spine and front panel.
