Presented to both Houses of Parliament by Command of Her Majesty - 1857 - Printed by Harrison and Sons, London - Only Edition Complete and rare set of the papers presented to the Houses of Parliament in 1857, with two important maps, one being a survey of the Pearl River Delta.

These papers provide the detailed correspondence between all the major British participants engaged in the second ‘Opium War’, including Consul Harry S. Parkes, Sir John Bowring, the Earl of Clarendon (British Foreign Secretary), the Secretary of the Admiralty, Imperial Commissioner and Viceroy Ye Mingchen, Commodore Charles Elliot, Rear-Admiral Sir Michael Seymour (Commander-in-chief of the British Forces), Sir John Bowring and Sir George Bonham (Governors of Hong Kong).
