What makes this set unique are the additional engraved plates that have been stunningly bound in by Bayntun of Bath, originally containing two engravings by Cruikshank, this set adds another 108 relevant older engravings (18 of which are hand-coloured) and two maps (one of which is hand-coloured).
  Collated 2/2024 - Two original frontispiece engravings by George Cruikshank; One double page hand-coloured engraved map (1805) and one double sided single page road map; nine illustrations by Jasper Salwey (English architect and artist, 1884-1956); twenty six engravings by Thomas Allom (nine of which are hand-coloured, all most likely from ‘Devonshire and Cornwall Illustrated, 1832), two portraits; sixty five other single page engravings (seven of which are hand-coloured), three double page engravings (one of which is hand-coloured), and one single page with pink paper engraving.
