Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and sketches, wonderful anecdotes, regatta reports, international as well as national rowing, articles on coaching, styles, the history of rowing, famous rowers and teams, keeping fit, the education of a coxswain, articulate letters from readers, period rowing related advertisements, etc. etc.
  Provenance: T.V. Dunham, who rowed for Marlow Rowing Club in 1912 (with his name stamped, hand-written or initialled to upper corner of front cover of the first series magazine numbers 2 (1950) -10, 15, 17-19, 22, 25, 32-37 (1952)). P. Flude, listed as joining the Lancaster John O' Gaunt Rowing Club and Lancaster Schools' Rowing Association in 1948, and as Vice Captain in 1954 (with his name hand-written or initialled to front cover of the following magazines -first series #45 (1945); Second series #1, 5 (1953).

All in publisher’s stapled wrappers, outer covers mostly illustrated and lettered in blue (size 24.2x18.5cm).
