Containing the list of subscribers, engraved portrait of Lord Grenville, sixty-four hand-coloured aquatint plates after Pugin, Mackenzie, Westall, Nash, and others, seventeen stipple-engraved costume plates, and thirty-three hand-coloured founders plates. The list of subscribers is in the first state, one plate is in the first state and the others are second state.
Two large quarto volumes (binding size 35.5x30cm), pp. [2] xiv [2 (List of Plates)] xxv [1] 275 [1] [6 [Index)] [2]; [6] 262 [6 (Index)] [2]. Bound with half-titles. Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in three-quarter navy blue morocco, spines gilt lettering, with raised bands decorated in gilt and panels with gilt borders, twin gilt filets to outer edges of leather panels, pale blue speckled coated endpapers, top edge gilt, others trimmed. Condition: Fine, light offsetting from some plates, small archival repair to Clarendon House plate, small hole to plate of Lord Grenville (opposite volume I dedication page) not affecting illustration, in fine bindings.
