  William Faulkner (1897-1962) was an important American writer of Southern literature. Many of his novels and short stories are set in the fictional Yoknapatawpha Country, a small-town loosely based on his hometown of Oxford, Mississippi. His writing is best known for its experimental style, distinctive cadence, stream of consciousness narrative, and Gothic themes. He was the recipient of two Pulitzer Prizes and the Nobel Prize for literature, as well as the National Book Award.

Provenance: Toning to pages 21-2 from a 1958 Movie Schedule (noe safely enclosed in archival sleeve. Presumably the original owner was with the USAF in Germany at the time.
