  Ivon A. Donnelly lived in China in the early 1900s until the id 1940s. A shipping agent on the Yangtze, he became an expert on Chinese junks, writing and illustrating Chinese Junks and Native Craft, published in 1924. He was also an accomplished artist and a keen builder of model junks.
