The U.K.B.G. Guide To Drinks - Anon 1955 October - United Kingdom Bartender's Guild, London - Second Edition (Revised), 5000 copies Second and revised edition of this professional bar tenders guide, published as a run of 5,000 copies in October 1955 following the first edition of 5,000 copies published in June 1953. In the rather scarce and delicate silver lettered dust jacket, which one can assume usually became the victim of a professional bar tending environment.

Produced by the United Kingdom Bar Tender’s Guild (founded in 1933 and still mixing today), an extensive collection of cocktail recipes and lore containing a list of prize winning cocktail recipes from 1934 to 1954, illustrated throughout with full page black and white sketches and advertisements. According to Gaz Regan's ‘
Joy of Mixology’, this edition of the U.K.B.G. (and Oscar Haimo's Digest published in the same year) is the first appearance of the Negroni under its own name (as the drink had been published before with the same ingredients but under different names).
