Ian Fleming: The Book Collector - signed by both James and Fergus Fleming - Ian Fleming, Various

2017 - Queen Anne Press, London - Number 132 of a limited Edition of 150 copies
In 1952, the year he wrote Casino Royale, Ian Fleming launched a quarterly periodical for bibliophiles: The Book Collector. Published originally by Queen Anne Press it was soon hailed as the most important journal of its kind in the world. Fleming remained the publisher and its principal shareholder until his death. The Book Collector is still flourishing today, it is now under the management of his nephews James and Fergus Fleming.

To celebrate its 65th anniversary,
The Book Collector devoted its Spring 2017 issue to Ian Fleming, and his role in the world of books. Essays were provided by editors old and new, family and colleagues of the author, as well as Fleming scholars, historians, bibliophiles and regular Book Collector contributors.

This is number 132 from a limitation of 150 hand-numbered copies of that issue, signed by both James and Fergus Fleming. Finely printed in hot-metal Monotype letterpress on 150gsm Bockingford White paper, finely bound in red cloth by Ludlow Bookbinders, and blocked in gilt 'Fry's Ornamented' type as favoured by Fleming for first edition copies of
Casino Royale (1953).
